Events in The Texas Revolution

October 1835- Battle of Gonzales is when Texans repulsed a detachment of Mexican cavalry.

October 1835 -The Goliad Campaign ended when Ben Milam, Ben Milam, and forty nine other Texans invaded the presidio and a detachment of Mexican defenders.

October 1835 - there was an attack by Jim Bowie, and James Fannin, and 90 other solders defeated an army of 450 Mexican people. This took place at the Battle of Concepcion.

November 1835- A group of people called the Consultation met to talk about for more autonomous rule in Texas.

November 1835 - Under the power of Jim Bowie and Ed Burleson the Texans won the Grass Fight which was held near San Antonio. From that war Texas gained worthless bounty of grass.

December 1835 - Under General Cos San Antonio surrendered to the Texans. Following that was the Siege of Bexar which is when Ben Milam was killed.

March 1836 -This is when the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. This was signed by the members of the Convention.

March 1836 - Texans who were under the control of Col. William B. Travis were overwhelmed by the Mexican army. This happened at the Battle of the Alamo in San Antonio, and that’s when the Runaway Scrape began.

March 1836 -Trying to avoid the invading army of the Mexicans Sam Huston abandoned the Gonzales and retreated eastwards.

March 1836 - The Mexicans executed James Fannin and almost 400 other Texans at the Goliad Massacre. They were under the order of Santa Anna.

April 1836 - Under the leadership of Sam Huston the Texans routed the Mexican forces of Santa Anna at the battle of San Jacinto. The independence was won in one of the most decisive battles in history.
